“The smell of the sea pleased him so much that he wanted one day to take it in, pure and unadulterated, in such quantities that he could get drunk on it. And later, when he learned from stories how large the sea is and that you can sail upon it in ships for days on end without ever seeing land, nothing pleased him more than the image of himself sitting high up in the crow's nest of the foremost mast on such a ship, gliding on through the endless smell of the sea -- which really was no smell, but a breath, an exhilaration of breath, the end of all smells -- dissolving with pleasure in that breath.”
― Patrick Suskind, Perfume: The Story of a Murderer
“I saved Latin. What did you ever do?” The word perfume is used today to describe scented mixtures and is derived from the Latin word, “per fumus,” meaning through smoke. That’s almost too cool. The word Perfumery refers to the art of making perfumes. Perfume was refined by the Romans, the Persians and the Arabians, much of the fragrances were incense based before France quickly became the European centre of perfume and cosmetic manufacture with cultivation of flowers for their perfume essence.
My essential oil and jojoba oil based perfumes are an offering of something beautiful, hold the chemicals. I created scents that I love and I hope you love them too.

Amy - Per Fumus
Amy is that musky, mysterious, incense lingering scent from temple. She’s the Indian Summer spent travelling to the lesser known places, before it was cool, in fact she’s everything before it became cool. Amy is the bohemian, free spirit, with an always fully stamped passport, who eats mango from a fruit stand after yoga, meditation and journalling but doesn’t post about it on the gram. She visited the Beatles Ashram because she appreciates the lyrical genius and beauty of post pop Beatles. She is the creative feminine energy, the inner knowing, the inner calm, laughs loudly and leaves ecstatic dance without telling anyone - she has nothing to prove to anyone. She is a traveller, a gypsy, life enthusiast, she’s the one that got away.
