meet katie

Katie is a qualified yoga and meditation teacher, massage therapist, reiki healer and personal trainer. Katie has had a passion for health and well-being for as long as she can remember and has been working in the industry from 2006 to date, her massage work has taken her to places such as Claridges Hotel in Mayfair, London and The Sanctuary Day Spa in Covent Garden, London.

Zen is the name given for when someone connects to their true essence, to their higher self and reaches a point of consciousness. State of Zen is also the name of Katieโ€™s business, a combination offering of products and services. Her product line Green Witch Potions, is chemical, paraben and toxin free and designed to heal and soothe the body. This use of herbs is not only beneficial for your health, but a beautiful way to reconnect to nature, to return to a time when medicine was found in nature and medicine women were the real witches. Katie offers services, tools and herbal products, through her line Green Witch Potions, to help you find the path to your own little state of zen.

yoga + meditation

Katie is a qualified vinyasa, yin and meditation teacher. Katie completed her vinyasa teacher training through yoga medicine in 2015, Yin with Jo Phee in 2016 and meditation training in 2017. Katie teaches yoga at Twisting Peacock Yoga in Perth and Swell Yoga in Margaret River. Katie is also available for one on ones and corporates. Katie says Yoga has always felt good in her body and more importantly, her mind. She hopes to leave her students feeling better than when they first started.

BreathWork

Look closely enough and you will find breath work is woven into every ancient teaching throughout history. These ancient teachings knew the importance of harnessing Prana, the life force energy circulating through us, cultivating and harmonising this energy through breathing patterns and techniques. The purpose of breath work is to mobilise the diaphragm, creating expansion and elongation of the breath cycle and freeing the respiratory system. When the breath is used in this way, it helps to increase supply of oxygen through the body, increasing inner vitality and peace. Through breath work there is a bypassing of the mental chatter within the mind to create space for clarity and wisdom. Katie teaches Breath Work in Perth at Cntrespace and Open House Yoga. Katie is available for one on oneโ€™s or small group sessions.
